i *dont* have it all figured out but im getting there
kobe (bean) bryant was charged today with 1 count of sexual assault for the alleged rape of a 19 year old girl in colorado a few months ago. sex assault is a class III felony... that means 4-life in prison or 20-life probation if convicted. now we know they had sex, the question is whether it was consensual or rape. kobe is married (she's young and beautiful from what ive heard) and just had a child so its sad either way. even though im not a lakers fan and dont really like the guy, i was surpised at how hard the time is he could be serving. whoa. i know this is really going to have a bad effect on next basketball season but on the rest of his life? he has a good reputation too and is a role model to countless kids around the world. a lot of calls came in over the radio today making the same point. why? we know he is more than likely surrounded by women all the time (i dont mean that in a hugh heffner way) who probably wouldnt mind fucking the basketball star. so why would kobe rape a stranger? personally i hope he's innocent. its enough to have an extramarital affair while in the media spotlight but dont make it this bad, especially with all the kids watching.
scientists are on the verge of creating life out of scratch. this is scary. what they do is take the most primitive live being (a single e. coli bacterium) and start removing dna bits one by one. the point is to find the smallest dna strand that will support life. then they will make a cell and give it this dna and possibly create life from nothing. i get the feeling this isnt supposed to happen. its also in my beliefs that God will allow whatever he wants to happen so maybe it will. in any case i think we are being too smart for our own good. leave it alone.
hmm it has come to my mind in the past few days that all these things that are happening probably amount to something. i dont know if anyone else even thinks stuff like this but ill say it. its possible we may be nearing the apocolypse. im not trying to be a prophet or scare anybody, no, im just saying. look what we've got. bush's roadmap to freedom (or whatever the hell it is) and other talks could be closing in on peace in the middle east and israel. i think i remember that the end of the world would come when there was peace in israel (seriously, can you remember peace in israel?). humans are experimenting with cloning and even creating life (kobe bryant is accused of rape!!). we are becoming our own Gods... it doesnt seem right. this is about the time that we all go up in flames and a new race begins. when we've become smart enough to take life into our own hands... its creepy. and dont go saying that all this religion stuff is crap too. in reality, can you disprove it? i mean, can anyone say the bible is a hoax thats been around for millenia? you can make the argument that there were no dinosaurs in the bible and what about adam and eve. well people in the early chapters of the bible lived for hundreds of years, who is to say that adam wasnt millions (or billions) of years old before he and eve ate the apple and gained knowledge and humility? how can you say it didnt happen? this isnt even saying the big bang didnt happen. maybe that theory doesnt fit exactly right with genesis but genesis was a prophets writing, maybe altered from the real deal. how can all the matter in the universe be packed into an infinitely small space? and even then, where did it come from... had to be created by something (God)...(i know you knew that). so really, like in a court case, can you say there isnt reasonable doubt to false religion? heh, and are we really headed toward the meat puppets proverbial 'lake of fire'? i guess we will just have to wait and see.
